Bitton Bistro Cafe

The food is amazing but that's it. The staff is horrible, very rude and act as if it's a burden to have clients. As soon as we walked in we were told very firmly to not move any tables, even though some of the tables are so close to the wall you can't sit in the chairs provided. I went with a group of 9 and we were not told that the bill would be all together. We were told there is no way to split the check at all. There is no atm to try to get cash to pay the person that gets stuck with paying the full bill plus the very large tip they give themselves.

I can’t say enough about this gem. The crêpes are amazing and the latte is to die for. Stop in, enjoy the sweets and caffeine. BTW the service is outstanding.

First time here. Only the owner is here, bussing tables, taking orders, cooking. Our crepes we're scorched on the outside, not quite done on the inside. Pastries were not outstanding, little to nothing on the inside. So he is charging 20 percent tip for himself apparently and he is not overly friendly. We won't be back.

Avoid this place if you are looking for the good american style breakfast. The place was clean and bright, the owner has offered a menu and also made some suggestions, we've ordered double espresso , oj, two croissants, tomato/spinach quiche and hame quiche. The food was ok nothing spesial.The check was $58.63, in my hamble opinion this is a way overcharge. Even for the New Yorker. Additionally, the owner himself was not very pleasent.

Great cappacino! Sandwich came with a lunch size side salad. Egg & cheese crepe was tasty.

Awesome service, delicious crepes, savory and sweet! Miami crepe was my choice, came out fast, great combination of bree chees and my favorite pesto!Great choise of pastries, gelato and cakes!Beautiful inside, art wall was cool future!

Rude manager or owner. Friendly waitress and decent food but it doesn't make up for the rude gentleman that runs it. There is no excuse for rude management in the service industry.

This place is clean and beautiful.I got Katie and a cup of cappuccino. It was just awesome! I saved my favorite ;)

Excellent FOOD! authentic French style and great pastries. Loved the ambiance. fresh food and clean place. Even has a kids play area. Little bit of wait but we’ll worth it!

The place was empty to the 2:30 pm the temperature outside was in 54 'f, we try of sit by the window for a little of heat of sun and the owner stopped us because that table was for six people, this is bad service and not had nobody and neither was to arrive, it seems to me they don’t have good vibes

Great spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Great savory and/or sweet crepes, fresh baked breads and pastry, fresh brewed coffee, gelato, etc. Plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options as well.

This is the best place you can start your day with a fresh cup of coffee and freshly baked goodies. The owner always greet you with a smile and he offers the best croissants in Islamorada. The place is always super clean and you can even purchase unique local art.

Ham quiche, Katie (croissant with lox), and pastries were tasty. Coffee was excessively bitter, would not recommend espresso drinks for anyone who appreciates a good latte. A bit overpriced and 20% tip is included in bill without warning. There was an area in the back with toys for kids.

I had lunch at this wonderful Cafe yesterday. My Sante Fe sandwich was everything I wanted it to be and came with a Delicious side salad. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Michel. He is a genuinely nice guy and runs a cozy, clean, and welcoming cafe!

We were a group of 10. When we got there the owner already shook his head at us. He didn't say hi. Told us to sit but don't move any tables. Who does that?? So we all got up and walk right out the door to another venue.

Fantastic breakfast place, genuinely great pastries and crepes and very good sandwiches on fresh, homemade bread. Everything seems to be made in house. Owner/chef very friendly. I try to visit every time I'm down here.

This is a must stop for us every time we are in the keys. Pastries are made fresh daily and the service is great.

Best sandwiches on the key. The food is fresh and large portions. Best lunch if you don't want fish.

Amazing sandwiches and great coffee (according to the adults). There is a play area for young children and it is very clean. I recommend this place for breakfast. It is not very busy and people just don’t know the potential of this café.

This place is a diamond in the rough. So many breakfast joints are going to have crappy food, be unhealthy and charge too much. While this place may be a little more expensive than that greasy spoon down the road; it rivals them on every facet. Freshness, taste and quality. Every bite was magnificent. The cappuccino was amazing. The pastries are fantastic. My advice? Spend only a few dollars more and have a truly memorable meal here on the keys. You will NOT be disappointed.

Food definitely not worth its price. The cafe looks nice, but the service is terrible. Definitely overpriced. The owner (?) charged us extra 20% “service fee”, even though in menu it was said that service will be charged only for 6 people and more!

So good! Only one person working there this morning but he was killing it, everyone was getting taken care of super fast. Great espresso, pastries, crepes. Worth the stop for sure

The place looks good, but unfortunately the provided service was terrible. Also, everything is really expensive - even in comparison to other places around! For this price I’d recommend eating somewhere else

Food was good but they overcharge you by adding 20% tip without you knowing. That’s not how it works. You should give the receipt and then customer decides whether they want to tip you or not. Tips is optional, not mandatory. Not paying your employees enough is not an excuse for doing shady stuff like that, in most countries there’s no tip system at all. Also I’d like to have my final price matching the one that is on your menu, not extra 2$ for adding cream on top because I assumed it comes with it already, but when you offer something you have to tell there’s extra charge for it. Please and thank you. It’s not about money but integrity and honesty.

Do yourself a favor and eat here if you're in Islamorada, you won't regret it. The portions are HUGE, the coffee is fantastic (hazelnut cappuccino for the win), and staff was SUPER friendly. No but really, the crepe was the size of my head and LOADED with banana and nutella. My hubby had the mushroom and gruyere - to die for.

We had a great time at Bitton. The owner was super friendly and had great recommendations of other things to do in the area. Plus the food and coffee was amazing.

Food was great but adding a 20% tip to the total WITH tax is NOT appropriate! To me that is arrogant and smug.

Great fresh food. The crepes were amazing. They had a small kids play area in the back. The coffee was good as well. Defiently worth the stop if you are craving coffee and a sweet or savory treat.

Wow! Excellent food and even better coffee! Portion sizes are pretty large. My husband and I could have shared the quiche. Croissants were fresh. Staff was friendly and fast. It was a bit pricey, but I guess you get what you pay for.

With flavors to satisfy foodies, quantity to fill up Bubba and quality that's five star worthy this is an every-trip-come-back kind of place! Thrilled with the coffee, and service too. Besides eating food crafted with expertise and passion for flavor and quality, it's a rare joy to see the same person cooking for us that knocked our socks off 3 years ago.

Bitton is one of our favorite restaurants in the Keys. The owner is great, although busy and all tables full, the server does an excellent job getting everything done, still with a smile on her face and with patience. I have served for a long time and this lady is a Saint with the amount of tables she was taking care of and that she was able to remember everything we ordered, checked in with us throughout the meal and had a great attitude.The food is wonderful and I haven’t found something I didn’t like. My favorite is the savory veggie crepe and the espresso and cafe moka is excellent.The limiting factor in why this is not our once a week spot is because it’s a bit pricey to be our usual spot. But we do treat ourselves to Bitton when we can.

This wonderful French bistro is amazing. Everything is fresh and delicious, and the service is incredibly fast. Portions are giagantic, but its $3 to share so I recommend just getting your own anyway. The crepes are great and the bread for the sandwiches is so fresh, you can't go wrong with either. If you plan to sit outside, the chairs are fairly uncomfortable

The cafe serves excellent crepes . The food is well prepared and the service is good. My cup of tomato-basil soup was very flavorful.

We stopped by here thinking we’d just grab a coffee and a small danish or something since we weren’t really ready for breakfast. I was struck by the cleanliness and colorful fun decor. Then, when Michel mentioned what specials he had going on that morning, all plans were thrown to the wind and we sat down to enjoy a really heavenly breakfast. The coffee was also amazing. The only negative was that he didn’t have real fresh cream for the coffee (just ‘cream’ in pods). I highly recommend this place.
